Hi there

May have to self level 16m2 of floor. What tools do I need have a plasterers trowel i.e do I need to enclose the area with wood. Also would I need a helper mixing for this area. How many bags and which product would you choose?

Best Wishes

Howard

bear in mind it is always good practice to prime the floor before levelling so

1 clean and remove all contaminants that may impair adhesion
2 prime with Eco Prim T.
3 level 1 - 10mm with Latexplan or up to 30mm in one hit with Ultraplan Maxi coverage 1.7Kg/M2/mm bed thickness.

Tools:would need mixing paddle and big bucket, flat trowel and spiked roller. Depends how much you are levelling eg if up to 10mm just tape off doorways but use wood if going thicker. If you have a "buddy" to help might not be a bad idea if you are leveling at 20 - 30mm!!! as a bag won't go very far

best of luck with the products you choose to use

Hi Dock thanks a lot. Was going to use BAL Multibase. Can I ask what a spike roller is used for - thanks. I dont think it will be more than 3mm

Howard

use a spiked roller to remove air bubbles and leave a billiard table smooth finish...
then you won't be grovellin' on yer knees rubbin' it down

Dock,

Good Info about using a spiked roller, Just wondered where you would get one?

regards

Dean
