8' x 4' backer boards???

does anyone know if there is an 8 x 4 tile backer board? why just the 1200 x 600 ones

wanted to go directly onto the studs at 400 centres... 2400 is good, its the 600 that's the pain

I think most of the manufacturers make them. But not many shops stock them.

British gypsum do one called Glasroc tile-backer same size as plasterboard jewsons sell them and other builders merchants

I much prefer using thw smaller sized boards, much easier to get up to a bathroom and around easier to handball in and out of thw van and what not. A bit lazy I guess but I do find the 1200 x 600 more easily manageable
