4mm thick porcelain

looking for some feedback on the 4mm porcelain tiles that are coming onto the market have any tilers on here worked with it and which one was it? which size etc ?some of the tile suppliers dont have any yet but it seems a good idea for walls to me

It is a great idea gary... I wonder what they will be like for planertising/cambering..

I haven't seen any yet but i just think it is a matter of time.

some of the suppliers I have talked to about it say they wont be recommending it for flooring but will take it for walls ,I have been told there is a 120cmx120cm available it should be interesting to see how straight they are

alot will depend on the composition of the porcelain, theres so many new products being hybrid now so that the strength/durability can be increased

Seen them in tilemarket/tileflair they have the 600x300ish ones there in 4 colours if i remember rightly, they are strait and flat, they do state for walls only and they come with matching floor tiles at 10-12mm thick Havent had the call to fix them yet but i like the idea of them, would like to see the 1200mm ones to see if they are flat too...

Be really careful with the resin backed ones, they seriously reduce the strength of the adhesive.

they had some at the Mapei day they look good to me but as you say not for floors IMO they can go up to 3m by 3m slabs so the rep said.
