Hello
We are a flooring contractor specialising in shop fit outs and our client has asked us to take on the ceramic part of the works.
The works are mainly based around the South east and London occasionally a little further out (Southampton etc).
Looking for a 2 man team that would like to try...

I've been quoted for 2 different methods of fitting an UFH system by the electrician.
Both will use Raychem T2 heating wire.
The job is over 2 floors, 1 floor is solid concrete and the other will be a wooden sub-floor on solid concrete. The total job is about 360m2.
Method 1 - Prime floors, use...

Hello
Has anyone ever installed a Coram slimline shower tray bedded in tile adhesive or even sand and cement?
Below is a link to the instructions, for fitting the shower tray without riser legs onto a timber or solid floor but it only mentions using Silicon sealant to bed the shower tray...

Hello everyone,
I'd really appreciate some advice. I did some tiling in our upstairs bathroom just under a year ago but left it half-completed. We don't use that bathroom and life got in the way as it does! I'm now coming back to it and am starting to doubt myself on some of the work!!
The...
Just wondering if any of you guys or girls have priced up any stone tile fixing (labour only) at around the £100m2 mark or more?
I'm currently pricing up a job for some stone tiling and when I've approached some local stone layers for some help on the job a few of them have suggested that...
Hi,
We have brought 600 x 400 x 12 travertine for wall and floor in a small bathroom. The plasterwork was old and as I am aware plaster cannot take the weight of travertine will all be removed and 12.5mm plasterboard / moisture resistant gyproc used to line the walls. However, the tiles are...

We have recently had our kitchen floor tiled. 4 weeks after fitting when walking upon the tiles loud cracks like snapping sticks were audible. The tiles looked to be sound with no cracks visible. After 5 months cracks have appeared mainly in the middle of the floor and on the periphery of the...

We've introduced a new range of Vacuum Brazed Dry Diamond Holesaws with M14 fitment to attach directly to angle grinders. Very similar to the Rubi dry core range or the Marcrist PG750X-M14 range.
We don't see these as a replacement for electroplated holesaws, rather a product that runs along...
Hi all,
Can I mount Marmox board onto plasterboard, and what method would you advise? I could remove platerboard and mount onto stud but I know the studs aren't suitably spaced meaning adding more timber (every 300mm)
I did this yesterday on a smaller wall after some good advice off this...

I am at a loss with this one. How can I fit a 755mm bath in a 780mm space? Walls are brick. I read somewhere that you could 'pack out' the wall with rapidset. If the bath is placed in the middle that would be 12.5mm of packing out on either side. Alternatively 25mm on one wall. Surely there's a...
I apologise if this has been covered in a previous thread.
I have just started my first project: the bathroom. Things are going OK for me at the moment (I'm a DIYer) and I am happy with progress so far. However, there is an external corner which I want to fit tile trim to. Can someone please...
