A CTD or Sonde is an oceanography instrument used to measure the conductivity, temperature, and pressure of seawater (the D stands for "depth," which is closely related to pressure). The reason to measure conductivity is that it can be used to determine the salinity.
The CTD may be incorporated into an array of Niskin bottles referred to as a carousel or rosette. The sampling bottles close at predefined depths, triggered either manually or by a computer, and the water samples may subsequently be analyzed further for biological and chemical parameters.
The CTD may also be used for the calibration of sensors.

Ctd Trade Centre Opening Times?
Do all trade centres open at 7:00am? The main Glasgow brach (Helen street) does but wondering if the smaller branches Like London road do. Can only find the showroom opening times on the website. Cheers -

Anyone know if CTD branches are open tomorrow?
Been ringing Hampton branch for an hour (from 13:00) yesterday, but no answer. Tried website but it does not have xmas opening times. Tried Twitter, but just says Happy Xmas to all customers etc. So does anyone know if they are open tomorrow (Mon)? cheers- Sean Kelly
