corner
A corner kick is the method of restarting play in a game of association football when the ball goes out of play over the goal line, without a goal being scored and having last been touched by a member of the defending team. The kick is taken from the corner of the field of play nearest to the place where the ball crossed the goal line.
Corners are considered to be a reasonable goal scoring opportunity for the attacking side, though not as much as a penalty kick or a direct free kick near the edge of the penalty area.
It is legal to directly score from the corner kick. When a goal is scored in this fashion it can be called an Olympico goal, and less commonly the English equivalent Olympic goal.

Hello:
First time posting. Looks like a really good forum for Info.
Here is my question:
I'm doing a DIY kitchen backsplash. I have doon all kinds of timing jobs in the past back splashes and floors etc. this time around I picked a subway tile that doesn't have a bull nose tile for the edges, so...
Hi there!
I recently posted in a DIY Home Renovation forum, asking if anyone could advise me on epoxy for a mitre'd corner.
Everyone was like "no one uses epoxy for that, just caulk it!"
But, I've seen plenty of great videos like this one of people creating beautiful minimal mitred corners...
60 X 40 CM PORCELAIN TILES FLOOR TO CEILING LAID IN LANDSCAPE COLUMNS . THE CORNER WALL NEXT TO DOOR OF BATHROOM AND FORWARD FROM SHOWER ENCLOSURE IS UNEVEN . EXISTING TILES WERE STRIPPED OUT & NEW BOARDING & PLASTER SKIM. THIS WAS DONE TO ENSURE STRAIGHT/TRUE/FLAT WALLS . OTHER THAN STRIPPING...
I thought I had all plum walls but missed this inside corner. Are there any suggestions on how to fix this 3/8" gap?
My ideas so far,
Option 1 to just have a 3/8" wide corner caulk line both inside corners event though issue on one corner.
Option 2 use quarter round 1/2 wide to cover gap- have...
I am about to tile a splashback having put the job off for a few months (much to my wife's annoyance)
As you walk into the kitchen, the first worktop starts, with the basic shape being an upside-down U shape with the wall directly in front of the door having the window.
I am using 200 x 100...
Coming to the end of a bathroom fit, just inspected some trim fitted at a corner yesterday and where 2 trims meet it juts out 5mm creating a sharp point. Doesn't seem correct to me.
What is the solution when I speak to them next week?
Last Dec tiled a small conservatory (13m) with 600mm porcelain tiles. Prior to tiling another contractor had laid wire type underfloor heating and gone over it with leveller. I believe the thin insulation sheets were installed as well. Last week I was called back as one 6 inch length of joint...
Installing a 17 inch better bench corner shelf. The bottom side of these floating shelves have multiple holes which I have always assume to be weep holes in the metal frame of the shelf. Unlike a bench the bottom side can be an eye sore when installed up high. My question is does anyone tile the...
what is the recommended gap that should be left between the tiles that meet at internal corners on the walls?
Also what gap should be left around the floor perimeter. Perimeter gap would be covered by the bottom wall tile.
tiles are 12mm thick porcelain. 1200X600
I started tiling my bathroom before Christmas and have just noticed I miscut a tile slightly, the corner isn't perfectly straight.
You can see where I've drawn a line to indicate how it should be
What's the best way to fix? 150 grit diamond file doesn't seem to make any difference.
Hi, I am looking for advice about half tiling an external corner which meets a full tiled shower wall(over bath); unfortunately, I have cement board on the shower wall so cannot return (set back 30/50mm) as it will expose cement board. Any other suggestions would be appreciated? Cheers DTCB
Hi
I've purchased Geo Mosaic Brighton Pattern Tiles (GEO-351) which were sold by Waxman Tiles.
I needed 17 border (GEO 352) and 4 corner (GEO 353) to match these tiles but Waxman have discontinued these. I purchased from another company (Cornwall Tile Company) but this fell through (lost in...
Hi all I'm looking for a bit of advice. I have been laying a 20 mm porcelain patio and have a small problem. I have noticed one of the tiles sounds hollow on the edge around the recessed manhole tray. The tile is on a full bed and I can only assume the mortar has just delaminated slightly from...
I'm taking on my first tiling job in my utility room. Planning to just tile around the worktop area with metro tiles.
I know Metros arent the easy ones to start with but they are bought now so onward we go. Got all the tools and the tiles etc.
Started measuring out and had a bit of a confidence...
Hi,
I would be interested in advice on how to apply sealant to corner joints effectively. Is there any way to do it without waiting for the vertical line to dry before applying the horizontal lines? Whatever I try, I take off and weaken the vertical line when applying the horizontal. Many...
What's your tiling question? Pictures can be added.
Tiling into a corner. Full tile next to a cut tile or 2 cut tiles next to each other to form the corner with 2 full tiles together above ?
I have seen pics online of both. Is there a right way ?
Hi folks!
Forum newbie here, be gentle (or not, I can take it).
I've boxed in around a corner bath, attached Aquapanel on to boxing with silicone and screws so that it is flush with the bath top, and a slight incline towards the bath.. All good so far (or not, feel free to interject / mock...
