B&Q PLC is a British multinational DIY and home improvement retailing company, headquartered in Eastleigh, United Kingdom, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kingfisher plc. Founded by Richard Block and David Quayle in 1969 originally as Block & Quayle, the retail chain offers over 40,000 products across 300 physical stores and online shops.
The company also has some outlets in Ireland. Shops in China were unsuccessful, and closed down in 2015.

    PVA already on wall as per B&Q guide!

    Followed B&Q guidelines putting pva on walls before tiling but now worried tiles are not going to stay on as one already dislodged and adhesion appears suspect. As it has not been grouted yet what is the best way forward? :huh2:

    not sure if its a new thing but its the first time ive noticed it anyway, b&q have a tiling dvd for the grand total of £1.98 :yes: perfect for me as ive never laid a tile in my life and was very informative, very good explanations as to what your supposed to do and why and what not to do etc...

    Should we stay clear of B&Q tiles?

    I have heard a lot of bad things about b+q tiles especially the problems with differing sizes,in your opinion would you preferrably stay clear of places like b+q for your tiling requirements,cheers DEN

    B&Q Tilers

    Was in a tile shop today and was speaking to 1 of the guys that work there. He ask what i would charge for laying 6m2 of trav on a concrete kitchen floor. Pretty flat and no units in it. Said about £220 - £250. B&Q quoted a customer £850 with mats. Gies a Job:grin:

    Just priced a job to lay 25m2 of porcelain floor tiles, customer has bought tiles from b&q, read some bad reports on these tiles, how true are these reports and anyone got any advice please, first time laying porcelain.

    :furious3: In the middle of doing a 14m2 bathroom, the customer has supplied the plain white 225x300 tiles, what a fu*&in nightmare...tiles vary in size big time, even out of the same box...if anyone tells me they have got their tiles from B&Q again I shall run faster than an olympain...Mark.
