Wrong tool for the job...

Just finished doing some wallpapering. I used to have a wall paper squeegee thing... Not sure what it's proper name is but itis for flattening the wallpaper against the wall and helping take out the air bubbles. Anyway I thought I would innovate and tried my BAL grout float. It works an absolute treat and is much easier n the wrist than the proper tool.

In the spirit of "getting the job done" what innovative uses have you guys had for the "wrong" tool for the job when the right one hasn't been available.

Is that wallpaper flame proof in the fire alan.. :lol:

On the basis that the whole fireplace is false and made from MDF I thought fireproof wallpaper would be a bit pointless eh!! 🙂
