No, I am just a DIY-er. The tile was cracked on the floor when I bought the house last year. Starting to annoy me now!
Can I layer the adhesive up to fill the gap at the bottom?
Hi All.
I am replacing a cracked tile (porcelain 60x60). However I have noticed the subfloor is sloped slightly, the adhesive that was on before was a lot thicker at the bottom of the tile then the top so I don't think its recent movement.
What is the best way of dealing with this? Should i...
Hi,
I need a bathroom tiling in the next 3 weeks. Its in Monk Fryston which is near Leeds / York / Tadcaster / Selby / Goole etc
I did the en suite and my wife isn't happy with the finish (admittingly its not good - so i am in the dog house!) and the house is going to be carpeted in 4 weeks...
Cheers all, did as follows and all looks good. What confused me a bit is I got some Sigma 2mm spacers and also some virex 2mm spacers. The Sigma ones are actually 2mm whilst the virex ones are 1mm but say for 2mm grout line?!
I have done the job now already with the 2mm sigmas - which would...
Hi All,
Which white grout for metro tiles in a shower (not a power shower) with 2mm spacers set on Mapei P9?
I am in Leeds so got a topps / screwfix / CTD / Tile Giant etc

Hi,
Just about to do some brick tiling. When you centre the first tile on the row above, do you centre it on the grout line or at the edge of the tile below?
So does the middle of the tile above go inline with the grout line or the edge of tile
Hope that makes sense!
Thanks
Yes - I am in Leeds so got a lot of tile shops here.
So go for this one then? Adesilex P9 White 20kg Wall/Floor Tile Adhesive - http://www.tilegiant.co.uk/adesilex-p9-white-20kg-wall-floor-tile-adhesive.html
Hi,
P9 says for porcelain on the packet?
Will this do - on offer, 2 for 20

Hi All,
I am going to be tiling Metro tiles in my shower on Tanked plasterboard. Can anyone recommend a good value slow setting adhesive for the job?
Also what size spacers and notched trowel shall i use, 8mm?
Thanks
Cheers all. Its already got a new kitchen :( . Might have to take it up and put laminate down. I am surprised the tiles have cracked so easily.
How do i prevent this happening in any future work? I guess I need to lay it 90 degree to the joists. I have read in some forums of people...
Hi,
About a year ago I got my kitchen tiled by a professional tiler. The tiles have started to crack along the joins of the 18mm WBP. The WBP was put down by myself. Looking back I have realised I laid it wrong - the long long crack is where the Plywood is 90 to the floorboards and not the...
