    Thought I was being clever...

no, i think your spot on.👍 the missus isn't having it though... she has groutline OCD...😂 and wants the tiles acrossways. her room... (she'll be the one cleaning it), so she can have whatever she wants...😁 on a side note... do i need to prime the self levelling compound i laid yesterday...

    Thought I was being clever...

Thanks, agreed, going that way i'd avoid any mis-match in grout lines. do you mean a full tile longitudinally, and not bother matching up the groutlines along the walls where the pipes are? to throw a spanner in the works, the missus doesn't like them laid out longitudinally...🤨 and is happy to...

    Thought I was being clever...

when i started laying out my tile lines, i took a long time to come up with what i thought was a good compromise. having bought a laser level made the job a whole lot easier. now the rookie mistake.... i intended to lay the floor tiles across the doorway matching up the floor and wall grout...

    HardieBoard then level?

Thanks again  looks like a trip out to get some leveler then, pity as i have a couple of bags of bal rapid flex left over, but leveler will be easier to lay...

    HardieBoard then level?

Thanks, :) do i need to prime the hardibacker before levelling? i've got plenty left from priming the walls, but didn't think hardi had to be primed?

    HardieBoard then level?

I've started tiling my bathroom, floorboards are all screwed down and tight, and i have 6mm hardiebacker to lay first. but there is a dip from the centreline of the room towards one corner of up to 10mm but mostly 4-6mm. on one side. do i hardiebacker then level up? or level the floor first then...

CTD selling out of date adhesives?

Thanks Dave, I've started using the flex one dated october 2019 today and it's working ok, it's just a couple of months over the use by date. I'll take the tanking kit back though, as i think i'll need at least another bag of flex one so will pick one up while i'm there. Also i ditched the...

CTD selling out of date adhesives?

I bought all the materials needed to complete my bathroom in september/october before starting work. as due to covid some delivery times had been quite long. and i had to complete a lot more work prepping as all the walls had to be stripped and re boarded. i've just come to start tiling and...

    Which Wet Tile Cutter?

well got the vitrex tile cutter today along with a marcrist blade and everything else i needed. the 'bits and bob's' cost more than the tiles lol! and yes it does take both 16mm and 22.2mm discs by reversing the carrier...

    Which Wet Tile Cutter?

i'm not sure if the 750 pro has an adaptor from 16mm to allow it to use 22.2mm bore blades. bit of conflicting advise from the makers web site and amazon reviews... but i found a 16mm to 22.2 bore adaptor here at protiler tools...

    Which Wet Tile Cutter?

Thanks, I've had a look at the erbaur one too but found a couple of older threads here recommending the vitrex. The rubi one looks reasonable for that style of cutter, with a better table and blade? But too similar to the cheap one i had that sprays water, and end up dumping the trays contents...

Hi can anyone help me find these. I only need 4

have you had a look under the kitchen units, it's where i usually store a pack for spares, or under the bath in the bathroom... ;)

    Which Wet Tile Cutter?

thanks, :) i'll probably not go for the absolute cheapest, the wickes one was ok but the blade tended to wobble a bit, the fence was all but useless and table would bend easily. not to mention spit water everywhere :D so will probably get the rubi or vitrex and then see what blades i can get...
