I have used both the webber sys protect and the Ardex. I personally prefer the Ardex all day long.
Drys very quickly and seems a much better product then the webber sys protect.
The webber is easily applied, but rub a wet brush on it and it eventually starts to dissolve. Ardex on the other hand is indestructible. Only way to apply Ardex is to use a plasterers trowel and trowel it on thinly.

Is the ardex tanking finish similar to the finish on insulation boards like Marmox and wedi?

what kind of ardex produkt you use in uk? i worked in history with ardex 8+9.. its liquid and powder. and very fast. but now i changed completly to ardex S7 .. its just powder. the main advantage in winter for me is: can not get freeze in storing place and can be trowelable and paintable (depends on water) . make the first one by trowel and second by brush.

lets say to you that a few months ago a test in the fliesen und platten mag showes that a lot of 1k non reaktiv tanking systems not gets dry under the sealing tape. thats a big problem with the plastic.

Are you daing that the rubberised paint tanking does not dry out under the reinforcing tape?

depends on the job , if its a pool it would have to be mapeilastic 2 part , steam room kerdi ds , domestic shower walls tanking paint and domestic wet room kerdi
