Come on lads whats the money per yard or metre out in the different parts of england and all? just deciding if i'll come out sometime.

Meanwhile Hillhead rolls on!!

joe.

i charge 120 a day and still i think my work is expensive for my area. they want everything for minimum wage

£130 a day or £25psm for ceramics, some think thats a scandalous amount and some think its reasonble.Lincolnshire has one of the lowest average salarys in the country.

£20 sqm gets you thick porcelain fitted where I am, so you're sometimes lucky to get the same for ceramics.

At the moment "depending on the area, like terraced housing" it's taking quoting £17 sqm to get some jobs in.

About $300-$400AU a day about the going rate for a good quality tradesman. You'll earn more if you lay by the m2 about $45au/m2 for basic ceramic goes up from there.

Am in a cold corner of wales it runns at #20 m2 generally try not to rip people off but personally i get #35 on stone been getting that for stone for 12 years. Guys are working sites for #10 and it can be a good earner if the contractors are good.

Quoted a bathroom yesterday - £20 sqm - 16sqm wall 12sqm floor
Customer said she'd already had a quote for £15 sqm

She said the job would be mine if i did it for that

I suppose for my first paying job it would be worth it to get the experience

It all comes down to any pay is better than no pay, but it is getting silly, ever since xmas, people have been beyond tight.

I usually charge mine in accordance with SPONS, depending on the customers financial profile (location, house, jewellery, car, clothes etc) . Heck I get £150 a day for decorating nevermind tiling, maybe I should charge more?

Cheers,

Dave
