Work footwear

What do you ladies and gents wear for work? I've tried all sorts over the years and nothing seems to last much longer than a few months or in a couple of cases, a few weeks! I bought these at the end of March and they are now well and truly dead, not even 4 months out of them!

Bri I had a pair of those workwear shoes but the boot version they lasted 3 yrs but that was workin in a factory not up n down off the floor just walkin about all day... U need some more flexible trainer type ones

It's always the toes that go in them so that's why I opted for steel toes this time, still managed to ruin them

I wore steel toes when I first went tiling... It absolutely kills ya toes when u have to go down on ya knees so opted for my air max's instead lol

my current choice! I buy 2 new pairs at a time and downgrade them to work wear when I scruff them up. I can kill a pair in a week doing a big floor! I do have some JCB boots in my van just incase I'm made to wear them.

I've still got trainers from the 90's in my wardrobe! It's just work ones I can't seem to make last.

Last pair of work trainers I had, only lasted 4/5 months. Boots seem to last me longer I think.

These are real mans boots, cheap as chips last forever, the old saying "when I pop my clogs" these are the ones I will be waring. I hope I have a trowel in my hand when it comes.:lol:

The only issue I have with boots is, they take ages to take off. I like to be able to kick them off/put them on quickly.

Well i alway wear white soled Trainers so as not to mark the inside of the pools, i have been doing this for years !& i always go to the big sports shops and buy there trainers that are left-over's and usally pay about £15--20 and they last about 4-5 jobs then the toes are gone........

Only wear boots on rough building sites, wear trainers for everything else.

Usually buy them from Sports Direct these days. The Donnay velcro/rubber toe Adidas Superstar copies last 3-4 months before the toes burst, so as long lasting as any other pair. Bought four pairs a few months back when they were £7 each. The Lonsdale ones don't wear as well so don't be tempted to spend the extra.

Until you lift a box of tiles by the nylon strap (I know, I know) and the strap snaps......and you get a full box of tiles corner first dropping on ya foot......breaking a big toe........then, and only then will you say.

CAT boots for me, non steelys, they last for ages. Steel caps seem to wear out too quick and are uncomfy to wear all day. I get about a year out of a pair of CAT's

I've always worn trainers, longest I've had a pair last is Reebok classics. Got just over a year out of them.
Bought some cheap hi-tecs from SD a couple of months ago, thye falling to pieces already.

25 quid steel toe scruffs in screwfix four months so far so good but ill get the Velcro ones next time so I can kick em off and on , anyone else squash the backs of theirs down from being too lazy with laces ?:lol:

I cannot believe that some of you are wearing trainers, what the hell are you thinking of? I have a lad who works for me lost one of his toes in the 90's, when a tile fell and went straight through his trainer. Its not a fashion statement, its about looking after your feet. Steel Toe CAT's for me, and no severed toes.
