The thing is, Brian. All you can do is tap them, that doesn’t really tell you anything, they might be stuck with ready mixed onto wall paper

I think its up to the individual im quite confident to tile on tile depending on the circumstances and never had a problem

would you prime? and what if they're well fixed on a skimmed wall? how would you know? what if it's already been tiled twice?

As I said most people don't know what they are doing. So they look on this site and think It may be correct even when its not.

if people dont know what they are doing then its best to get someone who does,like i said ive done it numerous times without any problems,ive heard it many times of customers that someone has told them it cant be done

I have no crystal ball i just know when im confident in what i am doing or believe me i wouldnt attemt it
