were to start tiling on wall with window

hi my first time here was wondering i want to tile my kitchen walls there 4ft up to ceiling from work unit 10ft long long the other wall has the window in its about 12inch from worktop was wondering best place to start tiling was thinkin of the back wall then the window wall

hi shaun, you should set out your window wall from the centre of your window, ensuring the cuts up each side of the window are equal and not too small. so you either have a joint in the centre of your window sill or the centre of a tile. With ref to setting out the height you should check all horizontals, ie from work top to sill and ceiling againg trying to ensure the cuts are ase big as possible. hope this helps..

also the cooker wall,find the middle between cabinets and start here ensuring good cuts at ends,,try full tile from centre and if thats no use then mark halfway on tile and start with a full tile in the middle of cabinets..same for window wall.

9 x out of 10 you can do it this way......the 1 x out of 10 you have to offset because starting in the middle with a full tile edge or middle of the tile just wont give you a nice cut at the ends......in this case i would offset this!....not the best look but better than bad looking cuts af the ends
