Hi Guys, still prefixing my entries with, "I'm just starting out in tiling". I missed the opportunity to buy Ed's 700N last week. I pushed him on a bit on ebay Ed, if you read this.
I have now seen a 900N on ebay and was wondering if it will be able to do everything that the 700N does, I anticipate that I will be cutting 600mm porcelain in the near future. I have a TS 40 for smaller tiles and I am looking for something a little bigger. I acknowledge that the 900 is a beast and will be hard to lug around, but will it be a good big brother to my TS 40, or too big and still leave a gap somewhere in between.
As always I appreciate your advice and experience.

Steve

skip the 900 and get a real beast! the small one is my TX700

If you need to do diagonal then the 700 is good that but you will find you need some different sizes inbetween

Not trying to preach Sigma propaganda, but I recall Phil Hobson say in a post that sometimes the TX700 had bother cutting 600 porcelain in that you needed to run the first few cm up the wetsaw. What about a large Montolit?

I have never had bother cutting any hard tiles on my TX700n.. not once..

I do on the ts50+ but deffo not the TX..

for most part my TX 700 is ample, I got the TX1200N cos I was doing a big job with 1metre long tiles

Thanks, Dave, Whitebeam, Doug and all. I will try for the 900 on fleabay and fill in the gaps as required. If unlucky, I will have to get a brand new 700, every cloud has a silver lining!
