...you may already know these vans have a gearbox issue...mainly down to the bearings in the gearbox..do yourself a favour and have the gearbox oil changed every 20K or sooner..this gets forgotten on services...lack of oil changes in the gearbox is the route cause of most bearing failures...just had mine done £1200 with new clutch...:mad2:

I changed mine when I got it 4 months ago to fully synthetic, smooth as a babys now. On the other hand I've just had a £900 bill to change the oil seal on the back of the bottom pulley, new cambelt, auxilliary belt, tensioners, and then the phone call, you need a pulley as well as this caused the problem in the first place. Gutted.:mad2:

I had to send my vivaro to the scrap yard in the sky this year loads of problems in the end the head went and the injectors blocked, they can sheer off if you aint careful then you can't get the head off :mad2: to much money to fix so I had to get a transit

Just out of interest, those of you that have reported issues so far, what year & engine are your vans. My 2008 vivaro 2.0cdti has no issues other than day to day bits

Mine is a Vivaro 2008 2.0 CDTI which I've owned for 18 months, this is the second injector to go on me in 3 months:sick:

Mine was an 02 1.9cdti I did love it it just became a money pit :incazzato:

Mines is an 08 Primastar 2.0 115bhp & it's never missed a beat.
They sorted the gearbox issue on an 06 plate.
Or were meant to have it fixed round about that time..

Mine is a renault 54 plate, and had it from new, i drive flat-out everywhere ! never changed gear-box oil or replaced injectors and she runs like a baby ...........renault are the best all the others are cheap imitations LOL..........
