Just cleaned up and used H40 No Limits. It all needs to come up but it's a holiday rental and it's hardly ever empty so I just have to keep patching up. Luckily there's loads of spare tiles in the garage.
I think most of the problem is that they're all butted up, no grout gap. Plus the fact that they're not back buttered and a cheap adhesive was used.

No primer, no back skimming, crap adhesive and no expansion should just about do the trick
