Starting times

What time do you guys start work, i like to be on site 7.30 domestic and commercial...as i like to be finished at 4.30. Some customers dont really like my early starts but time is money, not my fault there lazy :yawn: and cant get out of bed.

start around 9.15 am onwards upto 10am finish around 5 latest 6pm

My jobs r usually small ones so the finish time varies as always have to go back next day to grout

7.30am - 8.00am on site work but 8am - 8.30am on private unless arranged by client to be different. Finish when i finish.

just depends were your working trying to avoid traffic,i try to get on sight aroud 8ish :yes: then let traffic go set off back after 5.30 still in traffic a bit , :mad2: it will be better when clocks go forward ,you can finish when you want then and materials dry out better:8: :yes:

start at 8 normally done by 3. dont work long hours or may as well go back to working for someone. i work full days if on day rate but very rarely do that.

Try to start around 8.00am and work till what ever time

8.00 to 9.00 start (domestics) and finish around 5-6pm

But don't you think the best thing about being self-employed is being able to simply pack up and go once you're done?

I love it!

If I get finished early or get chance to start late then I take my daughter to school / pick her up. Something I never had chance to do before tiling.

I try and start at 8 but always ends up closer to 9. Who invented the snooze button!!!:yawn:

8 on site,9 domestics.
Have my boy stay with me on monday and wednesday night so take him to school the next day,best thing about being self employed.
The nights I have work till 6 the latest,any other day till I'm finished.

I just finished about 12,000 sq ft in a luxury condo,being a bit of a mental case I found myself going in about 3a.m and going till 7or 8,in a week I would would work 2-3 ,18hr days,the rest being 12-16 hrs,major overkill but the money was good and I just threw everything at er,took me 5 months but I:mad2: nailed it,trying to take it a bit easy now but the calls keep coming,wife wants me to take 3 months off,but I'm a setter,gotta set.

normaly around 1-2 in the afternoon after my post round, people dont seem to mind aslong as the end result is the same

depends on how far the job is from home. Very local ones I start at 8.30, but if i have to get to the other side of Bournemouth (only 6 miles, but an hour in rush hour) I leave at 8.45 and start at 9.30. Finish when I have done what I needed to for the day so anytime from 4.30 to 7 if last week was anything to go by!

You lazy lot...if i have a hour drive i will still be on site at 7.30, thats why im so rich :lol:

always consult my customers on this but generally start at 9ish and finish whenever...depends what else i have on.

Usually on site 8 am and finish about 4.30 had no probs, its mostly domestic work so have the place to our selves, some give us a key etc.

I tell the customer when im going to start, not when they want me to start
