Hi,

Im Tiling a 28m2 bathroom in Copper honed slate next week, walls and floor and am just wondering if to use grey bagged adhesive or white adhesive, I know on Travertine and some other Natural stones you would normally use white.

Also Ive put 12mm Hardibacker boards all around, and is it right I dont need to prime them and I shouldnt need flexi addy, only on the floor.
Any advice would be great.
Cheers.
Vin.

Adhesive colour is normally relative to the transparency of the tile and the final grout colour. Your slate won't be transparent so what is your grout colour going to be?

Then i would use white adhesive and if the floor substrate is timber then a single part flexi adhesive is needed even if you have used Hardibacker IMO

hello on hardy board you only need to use a semi flex adhesive like weber set plus or mapiker by mapei and grey is sound just try not to dot and dab

Work clean use a damp sponge all the time. They will probably be indian so quite soft and flake when cutting so you have to use a wet cutter cant be done dry with a 4" grinder........
