Hi

Got a project due to start in Easter, approx 45m2 patio of porcelain tiles.

I have already laid the screed last year to allow it to dry for the 6-8 weeks recommended, with a 1/60 fall.

I have 2 questions now

Should I have left an expansion gap in the screed? There are 4 different areas, with screed slabs of 3 x 4.5, 2.5 x 1.5, 2 x 2 and 3.5 x 4.5 metres. I think I am ok within these areas, but should there be an expansion where the screed meets a wall?

The second question is do I have to prime the screed before I apply any tiles with tile https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/? If so, what is recommended?

TIA

Ok, should I have said that it’s cured?
Are you saying that I need to go through another drying process as it’s been rained on?
I’m not sure what you are getting at?

Ok, a little googling and I see what you are saying

should I get it covered now to protect it from the elements?
