Re-sizing pics on XP and vista

If you have probs loading pics on tilers forums because they are too big then here is a excellent resizer for windows xp..

i haven't looked for a vista one as i use xp but i'm sure there will be one as well...

It can also be done in Microsoft Office picture manager, if you have office, it is free download (i think!)....Picture manager that is not Office!!!!

Yes, it isn't and obvious addition to the Office suite. Easy to use, if very basic but it does the job for resizing and basic pic correction.

I must have that too then, altho I downloaded shrink pic that (I think) Enduro recommended last week, yet to try it out tho'

You need to navigate to Office Tools to find the program.

Use shrink pic, you dont need to do anything with this it does it straight away once downloaded.

I downloaded it earlier this week enduro, do I have to open and run programme for it to work?

You can't upload straight from picture manager Doug, you need to resize your pic and then save it. You then upload the saved pic from the folder on your hard drive, not pic manager.

yes open and run the program and once you have done that every time you want to upload a pic it does it straight away.

All you do with this windows one is right click on the pic and resize..very fast...

Uploading pictures is a problem for me so I am going to try Dave's suggestion, but before I do I'm curious about GRR paint idea, after checking in the shed I have found some gloss and an old tin of hammerite, how do I plug these into the pc Liz?

I used to use paint as well liz, but you losse some of the pic with it and the power toy resizer from windows for xp doesn't and all you do is right c lick on the picture in the your folder and click resize...fast and very easy.

For windows 7 you can resize using Windows live photo gallery.

Click on image and 'open with' Choose windows live photo gallery. Then click File and choose option resize

You should be able to rotate it with your normal windows viewer?
