Pics of tray hopefully attached - and the craftsmanship that led to the problem...

Taking advise to use a board product, can anybody advise how to join aquapanel to PB mid-wall?.

Should add, floor is chipboard.

They left that piece of boarder out to save scribing to fit..

The tray can come forward if need be and tank the walls before fitting the tray back...

You will need to remove all the old silicone because the screen will not sit back on the same place once you pull it foward...

Also if you pull it forward you will need a new tray plinth.....

Thanks Dave

I am a little unclear whether to go the green PB with tanking or the Aquapanel route... if I need to tank anyway (which I can understand why around the tray/wall interface) then there seems little point in going for the expense aquapanel?

Thanks for the hints WRT to pulling it forward.

Just use PB and tank it....no need to be green PB either..., make sure you tape the corners and slightly onto the tray to prevent ingression.

I actualy prefer to use tanking membranes like the one from wetdecs...

Here's a video of how to install it.

hi looks like in pic 2 your leak was between shower tray and tiles .aqua panel should go behind all tiled area to get flush you need to pack out studs id leave tray recessed and make sure it is sealed between aqua panel and tray and silicone bottom edge of tiles to tray and internal corners of shower might pay to lift carrpet to see if any damage reco you should tile underlay w/p and tile floor (chipboard doesnt like water at all ):8:
