Ive just been to the worst tiling job ive ever seen worse than what sir ramic loaded off you tube got a call last night asking me have a look at a job travertine 60x40 the guy told me he had paid the tiler on Monday but he had not come back to finish the work got there today i could see the tiles were dropping down so i pulled one off there was a blob of addy on each corner at least 4 inch thick 8 inch wide all the tiles had been put on this way i asked him who had put the tiles on some polish tiler & his mate who he had asked to do all the work on his house what addy did he use he told me he had bought this himself he told me 4 bags from topps and the tiler had bought 20 15kg tubs from b&q as well i asked him if the tiles had been sealed no he told me topps said they needed sealing but the tiler said they did not need sealing he asked me what could i do to put things right so i told him they all need to come off and to start again the guy was in tears he had spent a fortune on his bathroom i did not have my camera on me to take any pics but he has took some on his mobile i will try to get them from him so i can post them

I would love to know what price he paid for the work, Relevant to the m2. Had he seen any of their work or where they doing somethink else and volenteered their service's, I've spoke about this before and so has many of the other forum member's, The public are in dire need of educating but don't take away the guy's job has been totaly mullered by a couple idiots abeit what ever nationality and now going to cost more than double to put right.

Customer was being greedy in thinking he could probbaly get it done cheap and an idiot for paying before job finished.

yeah he does feel stupid i asked him why he had paid him before he had finished he said he trusted them they seemed very nice and new what they were doing

Theoretically he could have spent 10 mins asking questions on this forum to know the difference.......foolish...as long as there are people like this, there will be cowboys ripping them off IMHO...His family silver could have also been taken....consider himself lucky..Gaz( with eyebrows raised):mad2::mad2:

i think the guy has tried to get all his house done up on the cheap he told me one of the bathroom walls had been re plastered and when he asked the tiler why he had used so much addy he told him the wall was uneven the house has been plastered all over and the walls still run out there are plug sockets hanging off every where i noticed there was no earth wire there the whole house is a mess
