A little drama on the job today, Police turn up with council officials, trading standards people, immigration, etc. They interview everyone on the job, looking for illegal's, rougue traders, benefit fraudsters. Luckily we are all legit, it's a good thing in my book. Anything to get rid of the cowboy element imo.:hurray: anyone who is straight, has nothing to fear. Lets see more on-site visitsmade my day:8::8::8:

Sure did Joe, asked for ID I could only produce my drivers licence, old CIS tax card, CSCS card, bank debit cards, and a sign written van. ( parked on the drive) business cards, and the minutes from the last meeting of the TTA fixer training committee. So I had no real proof , that I was a real tiler😳

this reminds me of 2 things , first one is me working for a mate 20 years ago doing lead work on a big roof , i heard the shouting and people were shinning down scaffolding like no tomorrow :yikes: , the second is the series 'boys from the blackstuff' , i am sure some remember it , for the ones that do they will know wher i am coming from , for the ones that dont may i suggest getting hold of a copy of it 😉
