got a flyer from NMP today but it's the extra price of the 'glue', puts me off

I got one of those too

I can see your point on the glue but it's not really too much more than the cost of addy

£6.80 per 6mm board inc VAT (1 board = 0.72m2)
£6.80 per tube of glue inc VAT (covers 4 boards)
£4.80 box of 200 NMP screws

I have not got one of those flyers...that's cheap compared to what I have been paying...where was that from? Cheapest I've bought it for is 7.30 per sheet inc vat

I get it from a local bathroom company who buy in bulk and pass the savings on to me, I don't have the buying power they have as most of the time I only need a few sheets at a time

The flyer I got in the post was just an advert mate, nothing special

A tube does me 4 - 5 boards.
8 screws per board.

nmp doesnt take the bounce out of suspended wood floors

yet they make no mention of this on their site claiming instead that it is a direct replacement for ply

Thats why you should take any bounce out of the floor before laying like you would even if you were overlaying with ply.
If you are left with a little bit of bounce then NMP glued and screwed makes it rock solid in my experience.
