A few pics of the stair well prep and the new stair case insitu. Really pleased with the stair case and glad i went for the oak as i think softwood would have been a real let down.
The rear stair wall with the arch window was supposed to be rendered then with a Diana Royal polished marble fixed and bullnosed around the window. The cill was going to be bullnosed on the top with another piece of marble bonded to the underside to make it look double thickness. However even with Lynns expert help there was no way we could get the stone into the country in time for me to fix it over the christmas break. That was going to be my JOTM entry for January. However on looking at it now i think it would have been a bit too much with the marble.
