mixing paddles

need a new mixing paddle, mine broke today, well i say broke it wore out, best paddle i ever had, must have lasted 5 year, got it from a market stall of all places, i want something thats going to last and takes a beating from a hammer now and again to clean it.....so any suggetions.........and not the £4.99 crap from screw fix or toolstation that brakes when it hits the side of the bucket..

just to add needs to go in a chuck....

You should jump to Aldi's & grab the mixer there doing if there's any left. Good enough little mixer. I got it as a back up in case my Rubi goes on the brink. Saves wearing out the bushes on your drill & saves having to tighten the chuck all the time. A paddle mixer would be far safer on the old wrists with the twin horizontal handles

I've recently bought an Aldi mixer, nor used it yet but, for 40 quid I'll be happy if I get a year out of it. The paddle on it is a solid piece of kit. Worth a look Andy if you've got an Aldi near you.

lol .....i got a proper mixer, its just a chuck instead of screw in......gave up with drills years ago, just need a decent paddle...

I've tried loads of paddles over the years and by far the best chuck type was the butech one from porcelanosa, cost a tenner and lasted well over a year, the worst by far was from B&Q, cost £8 and lasted about 4 weeks, kept it clean but the metal was so soft it wore the bottom of the paddle down and just snapped.
