What do you use to cut and dress tour mitres? I use electric mitre saw, then light file and rub down if required. I wondered if there is anyway of improving the finish though, thought soldering the trim then file to fill joint, i know it would be hard making the soldering stick though

I just use a 32tpi hacksaw blade, put masking tape over the cut first, gives a very clean finish.

mitre box and 32tpi hacksaw for me, take the burrs off with a emery board nail file, (obviously one that hasn't been used on my hands lol!)

I use my a 18v grinder with one of those really thin metal cutting discs. It gives a really neat finish and it's easy to shave bits off if you need to play about with the angle a bit i.e. corners that aren't square!

If its only inside one window I use a hacksaw and mitre box but for heavier work I use a Rage mitre saw. It has a multi purpose blade and gives very accurate and clean mitres. Great for skirting a room out with lots of internal and external corners.
