One good way to work for your mates is to price it up as usual, then knock a bit off at the end when they're about to pay you- you'll never see people so happy!

£30 a day wouldn't even cover the fuel in this area.

have done several jobs for friends, and keep saying 'never again', only trouble is the plumber's a real softy he can't refuse - and doesn't like to see friends and family shafted, so it's just us that gets shafted!!:huh2:

did one job, friend asked us back several months later because she'd got a leak. there was the slightest hint from her that it was our fault. no apology or payment when after two hours in the rain (on the roof ) the plumber discovered that the previous plumbers had run a waste pipe in the ceiling of her extension. yuk!
