Purchase Digital Hygrometer from Ebay 20131101_133558.jpg , while you are there you may as well get the 50mm foam too.....I bought 4 units and one piece of High density foam which was enough to make 4 units.

Cut foam to 200mm square 20131101_152757.jpg

Then route out the rear 20131101_152812.jpg ,,,,,You can easily make the correct size round hole with a silicone sealant tube, just push and twist it through the foam.

Insert the Hygrometer unit which is a push fit int the round hole 20131101_153338.jpg

I have had all 5 units on in the same area in my house and there was only a 1% difference .
Total cost ????.....£22 ! per unit.

On the dense foam could you use the kingspan type stuff..

I was gonna used some Marmox board I had lying around, honest anser I dont know but dont see why not as long as it creates an air tight seal to the floor by using the butyl tape or silicone sealant or decorators caulk.

Would you still stick the foam to the screed, or do you think it would read correctly just placed on top?
