In these lean times we all need to try and save on life's expenses so I thought a thread should be started where we can all pass out our ideas.
Lets keep them sensible and do-able, here is a starter..............

A good way to save on electricity is to adopt the string procedure.........

Tie a piece of strong garden string around the leg of your bed, take it through to the bathroom and tie around the base of the loo, then when you wake up in the middle of the night, hung over and dying for a wee simply straddle said string in a crouched position and stagger slowly backwards until your in a sitting position on the throne..........hey presto! you don't have to turn the lights on thus saving much needed money and your doing your bit for the green brigade.

Pennies make pounds.

Ps. Works for male/female but try not to be wearing a G string as this may chaf the skin.
