sorry but do you mean the Vitra range by grespania or is Vitra the make? These tiles were bought about 6 years ago. My problem is that water has got behind the tiles and the wall is made of strammit board (straw). Damp has penetrated to the bedroom next door, covered in foul smelling black mould. We have removed the affected tiles, but cannot get rid of the smell, even though the wall has dried out, it has swollen. Realizing this is something we cannot put right ourselves, the insurance company are coming this week, and I guess the wall will need to come down. The border goes all the way round the bathroom. As an alternative is there such a thing as a splashback. I have enclosed a picture of the damage. Any advice would be great as I do not want the whole bathroom re tiling if it is possible to make the one wall look ok. Thanks Julie

Grespania is a manufacturer and Vitra is another - it's more likely to be Grespania if it was made in Spain. Most Vitra tiles are made in Turkey..

Can you not remember where you got them from?

The chances of you getting the same tile now will be slim - I would be inclined to try and get the insurance firm to agree to re-do the whole room:hurray:

What puts me off getting the whole room retiled is the strammit board walls. When the tiles come off half the wall comes with it including the outer covering of the strammit leaving just bare straw as shown in the picture. Did not know about strammit as walls were plastered when tiles were put on.Anyone had experience with this awful stuff. Used alot in 1970s I believe. thanks
