Health Insurance?

Just wondering if anyone has taken out any sort of health Insurance,
the reason I ask, I missed the whole of 2006 with the Big C:icon8: (Hodgkinsons disease)
Luckily I had taken out the health insurance 3 months or so before I was diagnosed when I swapped my mortgage company. It paid my mortgage for the full year with no problems,

Bad news mate - hope you have fully recovered ?
Never had it - suppose it would be a good idea though. Always seemed so bloody expensive- thought they would always find a way of not paying !

A lot of them have load of clauses in the small print, making you not eligable for the pay out, you were luck you had a good policy, they cos a bit as leatherface says, you pays ya money and takes you chances as the saying goes. Personally i have never had it and luckily never needed it, looking for a bit of wood to touch.

I agree about them bein expensive and they have a reputation of wrigglin out of payin out, to be honest I don't know what made me take it out...maybe some sort of subconcious message🙂
anyway, they never haggled, and they paid me 11 months worth of mortgage payments,
guess I was just lucky:happy:
