W WetSaw Sep 7, 2018 #2 Boiled linseed oil. Don't leave any rags in a pile because they can spontaneously combust. I seal before laying because I'm a messy b*stard.

Cris TF Sep 7, 2018 #4 Nice looking work. Because they so porous will back buttering be enough? My worry is the tile absorbing to much moisture before adhesive sets

CJ TF Arms Sep 7, 2018 #5 These had 3 coats of boiled linseed/Turps, before laying, then once laid, a neat coat of oil. Wiped over the backs with a damp sponge as I was laying them
