Hallo, I am David, I am a DIYer, have been doing it for years- done lots of tiling with normal ceramic tiles. I have bought B&Q porcelain tiles, hadn't seen all the bad press before and they don't take them back without a receipt! I was going fixthem myself but too many projects so need to get someone to fix them - the person I got round seemed good but they say they don't need sealing.

If I just let them lay the tiles and then cleaned and sealed myself would that be safe do you think or is it likely they will end up stained? They are mottled grey, marble type effect so maybe not so likely to show marks as very dark or light tiles.

Hello and welcome..

When you say marble effect finish, they could be a glazed porcelain and this is why the tiler said no need to seal..

Have you got a tile name and we can check them out on the B&Q site.

Welcome to the forum.

You do not need a receipt to return anything to a shop, they may well offer you a credit note instead of a refund but you can exchange those tiles.
