grout or Silicon wetfloor drain

Hi, as per title what's the general consensus of sealing between the floor tiles and the drain housing. I'm thinking Silicon will give a better adhesion than grout. I'm using 50x50mm Mosaic's and its an impey deck and drain (square not linear).

Silicon on the grate housings that are not fixed to the base. Grout on the ones that come fixed.
