grout gun?

hi all just finished my slate floor ,going to grout tomorrow but because of the joints High/low points think a grout float might take a while and not remove much grout ,has anybody used a grout gun?? and would you reccomend ?

Used one and they are not brilliant, i would use a grout float mate.

Would try a grout bag, the gun can be a right mare to use.

The guns block up a lot especially with a wide joint grout, I'd avoid using one if you can.

Have just finished a job with 2 liner miles of pointing done with a pointing gun brick slips but I wouldn't use it for slate tiles it grouts so easy with a grout float saying that I have never used grout with slate mind you have only been laying them for 25 years or so lol
