glasroc f flameline

Very strange!
As it happen's i'm using this tomorrow to seal around a gas stove around the flu,then sealing it with fire stop. As Whitebeam says it's basically a fireboard!
Think i'd be ripping it up and putting a proper base down. Sounds like the only explanation is something to do with a firestop to the floor underneath. Which theoretically should be double boarded with fireboard (plasterboard)oops out of room.

There has been mention in the past of someone using plsterboard on the floor instead of ply or a backer board. Perhaps this plumber decide this would be better??

I can't see any reason why this would have been used??? Used mainly in commercial buildings or tower blocks to protect the integrity of the structure from fire.

I can't think i've ever seen this used on a floor and certainly not as a tile backer

Just to clarify when I mentioned p/board it was for the ceiling underneath.
Also do you think this glasroc is not No More Ply (just a thought)?
