Hi mate, first you need to check if its got a water proof membrain, most good tiles will do the job as long as there fixed into a solid bed, if your worried about that to check what you can do is, once finished bounce a golf ball on each tile, you get sound difference, like with a stud wall or a solid wall. I would not take the risk on a normal adhesive, i would use the same as what is used in car show rooms, it does cost a lot but your not paying for it, BAL have done one in the past.

I have to agree with Dave on this one - using a vapour equalisation membrane will certainly be a good idea if your not sure about the Damp proof course - best to be safe than sorry!
