haha thank you x

I only had 10 lessons before i took my test. Failed it first time though, as i nearly knocked someone down! What was he doing on a pedestrian crossing anyway????🙂

haha wkd! did you drive with any1 before you took your lessons? n is your honda black?

11 for me. Took me just over a month to pass. 1st time lucky, but that was in the days before the theory test only just thought 1996.

Just as well the car was dual control, as it was the examiner that slammed on the brakes.....i wasn't for stopping!!!!!

hi leanne i used to be a driving instructor, the averages hours that people pass there driving test is 30 hours.but every body is different some pick it up quickly and some dont.so dont worry about it it all falls into place in the end like tiling!!!! if theres anything you want to know let me know.ps who is your driving school and instructor i may know them>cheers billy

My first test was in a 15 ton armoured personnel carrier🙂 passed 1st time...

My car driving test was slightly different, failed the 1st time and ended up with a very disgruntled examiner, couldn't wait to get out of the car.... I still can't drive with both hands on the wheel to this day, it's like they don't work in unison when i'm driving. I have an automatic now and still rest one hand on the gearstick.

What do you do with your free hand ????

I have a mate who used to be an HGV driver - no word of a lie, he used to knock one off when he was driving. Copy of Escort on seat, pants down and away !!!!!
Scary thought, wouldn't have liked to be on the motorway at the same time as him :icon9:

Hi con953 you jogged my memory, as my first test was with a chieftain tank and like you, i passed first time.

Wow.... I mean I LIKE driving but I don't 'Love' driving:wink_smile:

I had 3 lessons with a proper instructor, but lots & lots of practice with family in the car before the actual test.

Passed both theory and practical first time around.

I used my own car for the actual test, (no dual controls) so it is just as well I didn't miss any people crossing the road or anything....

Most scary part was the emergency stop, I managed to lock both front wheels and have a straight line skid/slide..... But at the end of the test, when questioned, the examiner said I didn't fail on that because I made an effort to control the skid and kept the car under control........

I'm guessing there is some room for mistakes on the test, as long as you don't do anything that is dangerous to yourself or other road users.
