Dodgy Customers

Anybody experienced any type of dodgy customer? Maybe not paying on time or at all, maybe saying you did something you didn't maybe trying to rib you off?.... or something?

Had a call from an Indian bloke in Derby wanting a fill conservatory, with ufh,with tiles too, a fair decent job if he wasn't so bloody mean on price!

He wants the world for a fiver and he wants it next week, do they think we sit on shelves waiting for their business or something?

did a vauxhall car showroom after christmas this year...330 mtrs....just over 10,000 pounds worth of labour adhesive and grout,they supplied tiles......went round a week later to collect cheque......bank had pulled the plug on them...in debts of 3/4 million pounds....why have that work done when you know your in so much rubbish......wankers!!!!!😡

Oh my god! That's just silly, I bet most of that 3/4 mil is the directors wages, I bet they knew what was happening.

i have now invested in a product called riskdisk....it gives you information on every limited company in the uk, there credit risk to you,directors information...including home addresses,turnover, ccj s ,the works ...well worth 350 quid a year....😀

i always check everybody i now do work for, as most of my work is commercial,hopefully i wont get stung again😱

will have to wait till next month to find out for the info....i get a new updated cd through the post every month with all the updated info....they might not even show up for a while until the figures and accounts have been submitted to companies house!!

Looks like you can use an online version too https://www.riskdiskonline.com/ and the usual website is RiskDisk - Business Credit Reports - had a good read up and it's perfect for anybody doing 30 day credit accounts and the likes.

I had a guy in Coven, wolverhampton trying to turn me into the house hangdyman. Initially I went round to quote the work he showed me.

When I turned up to do the job, he then decides to try and slip more work in .... 'Could you just sort this out?' and 'Ooh, I forgot to mention that this needs done before you can tile the shower area....' and 'Could you just check my shower enclosure in the garage, i'm not sure if it fits the bathroom... and whilst your there, carry it up and put it in for me?'

I ended up walking off the job telling him where to shove it.
