Im doing a mosaic travertine border at the moment. The mosaics are about 2 inches x 2 inches. Can any one tell me how to cut them?

Cheers George - will I be ok sticking them with tub adhesive. I know that normaly with mosaics you use white flexi cement and thin skim the back of the mosaics too - but will i be ok just using the tub stuff - especially as it is only a border.

Angle grinder is best to cut these, and use your grout flout to bed them down. use a two mm trowel. I always seal mine first.

To be honest you can get away with a bigger depth trowel when fixing trav mosaics because they are thicker than normal mosaics.
For example if you are fixing trav tiles with a trav mosaic border - you will probably be using at least a 6mm trowell for the tiles. You will need to use the same depth of trowell for the mosaics as they are usually the same thickness as the tiles. Using a 2mm trowell will often result in the border being stepped back from the tiles causing a lip.
When using trav mosaics as a top border in on half tiled walls - it is best to use white adhesive.
