Reduceing the size of the tiles is also a way to avoid small cuts
Isn't it the opposite of that?Reduceing the size of the tiles is also a way to avoid small cuts
Ahhh okay.sorry i didnt fullt explain.for instance if by chance you are trying to centre a wall with a window in it and you find that no matter what you do you either end up with small cuts either side of the wall or window .You have the option of reduceing the tiles that will be fixed below the window between the reveals also above the window. what you have to do is measure the distance between reveals and divde the measurement equally so all cut tiles above and below window(between revels) are all the same.
Do you mean putting closing cuts above and below a window, might get away with it on square edge porc with a bit of work with a sandstone but I wouldn't expect a paying customer to accept it on a beveled ceramic or stonesorry i didnt fullt explain.for instance if by chance you are trying to centre a wall with a window in it and you find that no matter what you do you either end up with small cuts either side of the wall or window .You have the option of reduceing the tiles that will be fixed below the window between the reveals also above the window. what you have to do is measure the distance between reveals and divde the measurement equally so all cut tiles above and below window(between revels) are all the same.

Hahaha...well seriously its just not cricket, had to do a closer today coming out of a 20m kitchen into a 15m hall to avoid a 50mm cut and so everything else dropped right through another 4 doors. I must have spent half an hour polishing the edges for the customer to walk in and not notice it was there..Oh I'm gonna make ur life hell now! 😀
Try this first, use a full tile both side of a door opening and fill in above with equal cuts.Ahhh okay.
I'd need to see that in action I think.
I'm a learn it if I do it kinda guy. I can't always read it and get it.
Its a skill you need to develope, its just par for the course in all countrysHahaha...well seriously its just not cricket, had to do a closer today coming out of a 20m kitchen into a 15m hall to avoid a 50mm cut and so everything else dropped right through another 4 doors. I think over a 30-40mtr floor your allowed one under a door but round a window you can't just go lopping tiles down to suit...
