Hi everyone.....

Just a quick question, I've had the bathroom boarded out with plasterboard and need to make even a few areas.

I was going to put primer on the plasterboard all round and then fill in the uneven areas with bonding.

However had mixed comments on this from other contractors and would like some advice.

We I be better using one coat from Wickes or bonding to fill in the uneven areas?

If I use one coat, how long before I can start throwing the tiles on?

Thanks

Are the boards on on stud work or dry lined and how much filling have got to do, depth wise

Hi, in areas there's about 4 - 6mm, it the wall thats had plasterboard fitted to stud wall, with a small area (about 8" x 8") thats on the wall where the plasterboard has been dot and dabbed to the brick wall..

as Dave, use rapid set to fill out the hollows

Hi, the tiles are ceramic, the tile size is about 12" x 8", when you say you rapid set.....do you mean as in rapid set tile adhesive? If so, one i've done this, how long will I have to wait prior to tiling.....am I talking a couple of days or a week....and once i've used this do I then prime the area again? Have already primed the plasterboards with mapei primer g. Thanks again for the quick responses
