I am looking to buy a bathboard i have seen the ones in trade tiler they look ok but i was wondering are there bigger ones on the market,

the same as Dom, made mine. that way I can cut it down to 1500 if I need to and then make another 1700 one

I thought about that did you cut out a peice for bath handels or should it cover no probs.

ive got a cutout at one end for the taps but would only cut out for handles if needed

thats the beauty of making your own

Ok guys wiil get my self some 18mm ply , what did you use to protect the bottom i thought about one of those foam camper mats and use spray glue, any other ways.

made mine from 20mm MDF ,too easy:thumbsup:

I used to just dust sheet the bath in general but was never introduced to a bathboard. Never had problems but if I was doing it again I'd go down the cutting my own route I think.

Captain Slow has a Tradetiler bath board!!!!!!!
Ask him how good it is.
Me I had to make my own - only 12mm plywood for me as I'am a lightweight and it gets cut to fit all shapes of baths, handles, tap holes etc. and even now its used for big shower trays.
Good sponges under or clean dust sheet always.
When you don't have a bath board that's when you drop things!!!!!!

I have a tradetiler one which i won and got amother from Ed at the weekend for my lad.nice piece of kit but easily made too.very sturdy.

I have a universal piece of 12mm ply in the van, it fits on the bath and is 900 wide for sitting on shower trays as well. When in the van it sits against the rack hiding the tools.

:lol::lol: TJ.

My Tradetiler bath board is great .

It fits all "standard" baths, although I have experienced a few issues with the extra wide baths. It is very portable and stores in my van with minimal inconvenience. It easily supports the weight of my Rubi and me so does everything that I need.

I always cover the bath in a dust sheet before placing the bathboard on it, too.

It was well worth the money (especially at it was free :smilewinkgrin🙂, but in all seriousness, a good investment IMO.

You can see the board leaning against my van in the google earth pics. This was because some horrible little ----- had left it there after relieving me of a load of power tools!

I used to stick masking tape around the rim of the bath then tape my dust sheet to the tape the stick the board on top.
