Discuss Anhyfix - discontinued? in the Adhesive and Grout area at TilersForums. The USA and UK Tiling Forum (Also now Aus, Canada, ROI, and more)
Hi all,
Having gone to order a pallet of Anhyfix I have noticed that it has been discontinued. Seems like a real shame as I've used it a number of times and found it to be an excellent product on a notoriously difficult substrate. Does anyone know why Tilemaster / Kerakoll have made this decision and if there's another product on the market that is just as reliable?
Thank you!
Tilemaster were taken over by kerakoll who have the biogel products likens limits. I have assumed this is the reason.
Anyone know if there's an equivalent product available to buy? This appears to be the go-to product for anhydrite screeds, so a bit troubling if it's going away!

Biogel No Limits from kerakoll works well until Kelmore (the people who owned tilemaster previously) get up and running.

Thanks Ajax. Do you use Biogel No Limits the same way as you would Anhyfix? Prime the floor and then the adhesive bonds to the substrate? I don’t like the sound of two layers of primer to isolate the screed from the adhesive - the way tilers do it with cement based adhesive. I’d always want something that sticks directly to the substrate.

Im a screed man so I’m not actually a tiler. I don’t use it at all. That said yes the screed should really be primed. If you speak to kerakoll technical they will be able to sort you out a spec/method.
