Hi everyone, Im due to start a job for a builder next week. Apparently his old tiler tiled this room two years ago but its all been coming off ever since. The builder got the run around from the tiler who eventually told him hes not interested in putting it right ! So now ive been promised tons more work if I can get this job sorted out first. Im just abit curious as to which adhesive and grout I should use in a steam room/ swimming pool building?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

As usual im unsure of the tiles as yet but I believe its all going on plastered brickwork.

Personally I would use a good quality SPF like Keraflex and would def go with an epoxy grout.

hi have a good look at the failed tiling and backround to see whats going on in a steam room your adh needs max bond (no paint) ask your supplier reg products recomend epoxy adh for a permament job even go as far as epoxy grout (laticrete sp 100) sounds over the top but steam rooms are harsh enviorments make sure you leave plenty of room for expansion might seem expensive (repairs soon add up) do it right do it once:8:

make sure you get at least 97% of the paint off sp 100 epoxy grout is easy to use just follow directions you might need anti sag in it cheers:8:

Yes the dreaded epoxy for both fixing and grouting good point on the expansion as this is a potential problem area
