down
The down of birds is a layer of fine feathers found under the tougher exterior feathers. Very young birds are clad only in down. Powder down is a specialized type of down found only in a few groups of birds. Down is a fine thermal insulator and padding, used in goods such as jackets, bedding (duvets), pillows and sleeping bags. The discovery of feathers trapped in ancient amber suggests that some species of dinosaur may have possessed down-like feathers.

putting ply down?
Hi, i'm laying a tiles onto a wooden floor and looks as if i'll be using about 6m ply, unless you know if i can tile direct onto the boards (planks not t+g) but had 2 things i was unsure of. 1.can i tile directly onto the ply or will i have to seal it with something first or is there...- gman82

cutting down doors
is there a tool on the market for cutting down doors with the door still on its hinge, so that i dont have to take the door off to cut it down to size, if so are they any good and whats the price and suplier. thanks steve- steve9999
