Is it any easier to remove new tiles rather than old ones? My tiles have been up a few weeks. I'm guessing the adhesive would have reached full strength within a week?
I've used the super flexible Mapei adhesive and the tiles are 10mm ceramic. The walls were skimmed plasterboard, some with...
Having a new utility room fitted, by a builder. The room has just been plastered.
The wall in the room must be wonky, I think. The sink has just been fitted. It's 5cm from the front of the worktop on each side. However, at the back, one end of the sink is 5cm from the wall and the other end...

Shortly I hope to tile a wall ( skimed plaster board ) that has previously been painted with matt emulsion. The plan is to sand / grind off the paint, then prime and tile. The tile wt.is within the loading capacity.
Questions.
Is the wall prep ok?
Can I use BAL ADP primer with Mapei adhesive...
Hi, I'm looking for some next steps advice on a complex situation. I'll try to include any info that I think might be relevant. The irrelevant backstory is at the end for those who are curious.
So tonight I stepped on a tile in front of the kitchen sink and water seeped up around the grout...

Hi Everyone,
My plan is to install Kerdi Board in my bathroom, tank it, then tile. I was going to get a 3 way shower mixer (Bristan Descent) but when I look at the installation instructions it shows a cut out section at the front (to access the valves presumably). My question is how do I ensure...

Hi All, I put down a small rug on a rubber(ish) waffle pad on top of our black cleft slate floor. I pulled up the rug today and saw that it already left a waffle pattern on the stone. It's only been about a month. I have so far tried Dawn, baking soda poultice (18 hours), ammonia, and good...
please help I'm having a new bathroom installed and the tiler has finished his part and grouted everything.

Just wanted to check this is ok?

So I have finished tiling the floor. My question is, as a novice, I have treated the floor tiles like the wall tiles and have grout lines. These are noticeable when standing bare footed on them. My question is I would like the floor smoother by bringing the grout lines level with the tile...
I am looking for someone to re-tile a kitchen splashback.
There are three vertical corner edges for which I would like the tiles to be mitred rather than having tile trim.
Therefore ability to mitre metro tiles is a must.
Looking to start asap

Hi guys, need to source a alternative grout. I've used mapei ultracolour and not gone on with it. Not white enough imo against white tiles. Anyway i think after all i am going to remove the grout and regrout it. The joints are mostly 3mm, some 4mm and maybe the odd small area off 5mm (walls...
I purchased this system to use on large tiles for floors and walls.
When I bought the system I thought the bases would be flat but they are if fact quite curved which raises the tile some distance away from the bed (6mm) before tightening the red top.
There doesn't seem to be a flat base version...

I've bought a house in France (I can hear the groans!) quaint old place with loads of original terracotta tiles that have been "enhanced" with red paint. I'd love to get the tiles back to their original condition. So - how do I remove the paint and what is the best way of sealing them after...
